Mineral reduction cartridge improves equipment life and performance by removing 90%+ of all dissolved solids using reverse osmosis (RO) separation technology. Reduces Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) which makes the water less likely to impart undesirable tastes in beverages, sauces, soups and other food products. Especially useful on steamers, warmers, steam boilers and other evaporative equipment that are not emptied each day. Heating surfaces maintain peak heat transfer efficiency, reducing cycle times and energy consumption.

Installation Tips

• Install vertically with cartridge hanging down
• Allow 2-1/2" (6.35 cm) clearance below the cartridge for easy cartridge replacement
• Proper pre-treatment is required to control MR cartridge (membrane) scale formation and/or fouling
• Raw water hardness in excess of seven (7) grains per gallon should be softened to extend cartridge life
• The raw water may contain chlorine or other oxidizers and the use of a carbon pre-filter is recommended

Operation Tips

• Change cartridges on a regular six (6) month preventative maintenance program
• Change MR cartridge when output capacity diminishes by 15%, or when output pressure becomes too low
• Service flow rate must not exceed 2.5 gpm (9.5 Lpm)
• Always flush the filter cartridge at time of installation and cartridge change
