Growing up, helping others was just part of everyday life.
My father believed deeply in people. He would invite strangers to lunch, spark conversations with anyone, and never rush a coffee. To him, life was too important to live in a hurry.
He believed that no one stands alone. Doctors need nurses. Nurses need cleaners. Cleaners need builders. Every role matters, and every person counts.
My mother had her own way of giving back, delivering homemade soup to elderly neighbours because she believed they deserved better nourishment than packaged food.
Giving was never about recognition or promotion. It was simply how they lived. It was not until I lost my father at 19 that I realised this was not how everyone grows up.
Years later, I find myself living in much the same way. I guess some values run deep.
Look after one another. Especially the elderly.

In 2020, we partnered with Tummify to deliver care packs to smaller medical centres, many of which were overlooked while larger hospitals received the bulk of donations.
These packs included probiotic shots from Tummify alongside coffee gear and coffee from Coffee Parts. It was a small gesture intended to lift spirits and support the people showing up for others every day.
The aim was simple: acknowledge the work being done quietly behind the scenes and say thank you in a practical way.
Together with community partners, we donated thousands of coffee pods and chocolates to the ICU and COVID wards at Prince of Wales Hospital.
This hospital holds personal significance for our family, and being able to give back to the people working there felt especially meaningful.
These moments reinforced something we already believed: community support does not need to be complicated to matter.
We also supported St Vincent’s Hospital with coffee pods and supplies for ICU teams and frontline staff during an incredibly challenging time.
Nurses, doctors, cleaners, delivery drivers, researchers and support teams all played a role in keeping communities functioning. This was our way of recognising that collective effort.
Giving back is not a campaign for us. It is an extension of how we try to operate as a business and as people.
Look after your neighbours. Help where you can. Small actions, done consistently, matter.
