• 83mm burrs - The highlight of this grinder is its massive burrs. The standard-design 83mm burrs are great at producing a quality grind at a wide range of sizes. Paired with the 550 motor which runs at 1400 rpm, you can expect to have your dose ready pretty quickly. For more optimal performance, you can swap out the stock burrs with an SSP espresso burr.
• Low-retention grinding - One of the advantages of the DF83’s design is the minimal retention after grinding. The angled coffee chute and the bellows work together to expel as much of the grind as possible, so your dosing stays accurate. Designed for single-dose grinding, the DF83 doesn’t have a hopper but offers the possibility of being fitted with one if you plan to use it in a cafe setting.
• Stepless adjustment - Your perfect grind size is never too far away. The DF83 offers micrometric adjustment that lets you grind with precision. Another improvement with the design is the graduated dial which takes out the guesswork about your last grind setting.
• US/NZ models of the DF83 will also include an updated grind dial that is more accurate with greater range, along with significantly better burr alignment from the factory.
